It’s my first day out of the house after that
long weekend, and nakarir ko nanaman siya. BUT, infernez to me, I asked permission from Queen Mum regarding everything I’d do today. She’s been really worried about UP getting bombed by the military, natouch naman ako sa kaniyang concern. I at least wanted her to know what I was up to. Enpordat, meron akong hourly updates about where I was, who I was with, at minsan, meron pang short commentaries tungkol sa kung ano ang ginagawa ko. It sorta paid off, cos
even if I got home at around 11 o’clock already, she didn’t get mad. She just peered out the window, probably to check who drove me home. Then, she retreated back to her bedroom. Maybe that means Nicolo passed her
“Is this boy a bad influence to my daughter?” test. Then again, he was singing some religious song at the top of his lungs when we drove by.
My English 1 exam was sorta okay. Confusing nga lang at times. You’d think it was so simple, but magwoworry ka na rin kung may comma ba dapat dun or wala.
Nakaka-OC. 0.o Kahit open notes, sometimes kailangan pakiramdaman nalang ang sentence. Oh well, I just hope I pass it. It’s
English 1 for crying out loud.
I loved
Sir Arugay’s lectures today during Soc Sci 2. He was on a roll discussing the military’s role (or supposed lack thereof) in politics. He knew a lot since he did a lot of pro bono work for reforms in the military. I liked his insights about political opportunists, and also on his lecture about Rosseau. Fringe benefit: he got really carried away that our reporting got pushed to Friday. Hohohoho. Buti naman dahil
wala pa kaming nahahanda.Hemingways, while most of the UP Diliman faculty, staff and studentry were at the Oblation for the University Council proclamation,
Louie, Alvin, Tet, Nico, Jowee and I went to Starbuks.
Starbucks and the Class Struggle na ba ito? :P Oh well. There were coupons to be redeemed, pressing matter din yun a.
After, Louie, Nico and I went to the UP Theater for
Elevate. I couldn’t find my blockmates, so kebs, I hung out with DebSoc people na during the event.
Minay, Katz, Inna and Mels also met us there, so fun-ness. :P I dunno, the event was very... interesting? Kamusta naman ang cheers ng IE Club at JPIA ha. Don’t quit your day job. Mag-marketing na lang kayo.
The
UP Pep Squad’s performance was great. Well, most of the time. The first performance was kinda off.
Kamusta naman ang primitive interpretative dance in Flintstones costume? For the first few minutes, we were all just trying to figure out what they were doing. Maybe we just weren’t cultured enough, but we really didn’t get what that dance was about.
Inna: Dance Dance Evolution?
Nicolo: Lenten Season?I still stand by my answer.
Lion King. Later on, tama na rin siya, dahil
meron na ring mga dancers na mukhang hyena, Rafikki at may Battle of Pride Rock pa. Say niyo? The guy in white looked kinda freaky though. Epileptic wombat?
Oh well, after that it was all good already. Siyempre, it wouldn’t be complete without a GMA joke, a Brokeback parody (which I really liked, btw), a thinly-veiled attack against UST, and *gasp* a
Samba tutorial onstage! Dun namin narealize ni Nico na ang babaw pala ng expectations namin.
Hey, I just wanted old-school cheering with pompoms and glitter! That came last, but hey, it was worth the wait. Ang galing pa rin talaga ng Pep. School spirit! Not bad for a hundred bucks. :P
And siyempre, hindi kumpleto ang araw if you don’t cap it off with a pig-out session at Jollibee Philcoa! Inna, Louie, Nico and I went there and met Ia (taga-UP Baguio? :P). Guess who else we saw? Louie’s pseudo-ex. Hahahahahaha. Siyempre, tuloy naman si Inna sa kaniyang role-playing as
The Jealousy Generator. Haliparot? :P
Claire: Sabi nga sa Demotivators, “The early worm gets eaten by the birds.”
Nico: So, it’s better to be the big bird than the lame worm.
Louie: Yeah. Be the bird.Thank you, thank you. :P
